Trying to set itself aside from being just another first-person shooter, one of the unique aspects of 2K's The Darkness are what is called The Creeping Dark. Here's a good description of this little bastard:
Creeping Dark, the snake-like appendage that slides along the ground, up the walls and through windows in The Darkness, can be used to attack Uncle Paulie’s hitmen and devour their hearts, open locked doors, and much more.
Funny enough, just as 2K sent this to our inbox this morning, I actually have an appointment with them today to get some quality hands-on time with this upcoming title. Stay tuned to find out how that goes.
I love it when Devs start throwing change-ups in the FPS Genre. Stale genre games have always been my pet peeve, so whenever 2K talks about the Darkness, or Bioware talks about Bioshock, I listen.
Let us know how it plays. This title could go to hell if the darkness powers aren't as easy to use as shooting a gun.
Anyway The darkness should be a fun game to play, just like "Riddicks revenge" or something, but somehow I have the idea, this would have been a better movie than a game. I may be wrong though. I hope the game is tons of fans, the option of sending your darklings to do your bidding seems pretty interesting.

Please do Summa! I've been looking forward to this for SO long. I really hope it doesn't disappoint. Bring back as much as possible! I really would like to know if the multiplayer is actually going to be decent rather than overlooked.
And make sure they let you play multiplayer as both Human and Darkling (if that option still exists). Hold their keyboards for ransom or some shit. You're a smart guy, figure something out.
