Resistence 2, God of War 3, ratchet and clank: quest for booty, bioshock, Siren, Socom, DC universse MMO, resident evil 5, MAG was totally awesome. Little big planet me made laugh because it had a great visual aid presentation. Sony conference was non stop Excellent show.

Sony, but the three sucked .
Luckily Nintendo and Sony still have the TGS to show us more games . In sony's case :white knight , dark cloud or the new team ico's project ...
MS don't .

Sony. The LBP presentation was epic, and MAG has definitely grabbed my attention. All around more appealing games. Although, Microsoft made my jaw explode with the FF sneak attack, well played.

Sony has the most games I am excited about, but the "killer" announcement and all the internet ruckus surrounding it made Microsoft win this year.
Unless there is something big still happening.

Yeah Sony won! Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Home, where i can walk 5 miles in a virtual world to go play games, yes!!! and car races from Japan on the gran turismo Channel. We love that here in America. No one buys GT for the real car licenses, its for the popularity of Japanese racing. Oh and some army game named MAG. No God Of War III footage! Yes! Sony rules!

MS was lame! I didn't wanna see for the first time ever gameplay footage of Resident Evil 5 or Fallout3. Who wants that? Gears2? meh! Oh and being being surprised by shocking news. FF13 on 360. WTF a moment at E3 that took me by surprise? Meh! Oh and a radical new design for XBL. OMG something new and different was announced that we had no idea about, meh! Netflix? wtf is that? MS loses! It rocked too hard.

The future of gaming is home and throwing frisbee's at dogs. Damn I wanted from MS the same boring presentation from fatass trenton!!! WTF are you guys talking about Sony wins? What planet are you guys rom, little big planet? get the fuck outta here! MS won hands down!!!!!

Well, while neither M$ or Sony did nothing spectacular, I have to side with The 'Soft here. The only interesting thing coming from Sony's part was God of War III, and M$ ties easily with Gears of War 2 (and they had a video, lolz). For the rest, Sony did their usual "LYL I WIN AGAIN" tricks which only get through to weakminded people and fanboys alike. M$, while not strong on exclusive content, focused on showing games people are waiting for. And I approved of those videos.

Oh, and stealing FFXIII is a huge mediatic thing, although I am not falling for that piece of overhyped sh*t.

Nah, Sony won it. It was a more humble, personal conference. Tretton is a piece of cardboard, but what he had to say was fifteen times fresher than anything Microsoft said.

FFXIII was almost a given, if you remember Square Enix said they wanted to invest more in the Western market. Can't say it didn't surprise the hell out of me, but then I'm not much of a FF guy so yeah.

Fallout 3 is cool, Gears 2, Fable 2, RE5... all going to be kickarse... but are sequels. At the Movies - EyeToy Play. Lips - Singstar. Scene It - Buzz!. Avatars - I don't even really need to say.

The only thing that grabbed me at MS' presser was the Live Arcade announcements. I'm not even sure I like the new Dashboard. Everything else about Microsoft's conference was as stale and wooden as Tretton's ability to emote.

Sony won by default by using Sackboy in a boring sales chart presentation. Fat Princess stole the show in a three second clip. MAG sounds cool, Resistance 2 (although a sequel) really did show something off with that huge leviathan mofo.

So yeah. Sony won, because what they had going for them were fresh, and (mostly) new IPs - some we'd never known about before.

Nintendo... it would be best if we didn't speak to each other for a while.

Bungie might have won if their new publisher hadn't decided to shit all over their plans at the last second. Assholes.

Although none of the big3 were spectacular, I have to go with Sony on this on. I read this somewhere but it does sum up the E3.

Sony surpases, MS surprises, Nintendo disappoints

Sony brought out more games than MS and Nintendo. Sure MS stole Sony's thunder by having FFXIII coming to its platform, but there were nothing new to look forward to. Maybe I was a bit intrigue with the "movie game" but nothing quite substantial like having a brand new Halo game.

Nintendo really disappointed me this year but hey, is not going to stop people from not buying thier products.

well microsoft dropping the ffXIII bomb was pretty much the most epic thing. but i still think nobody really won. things that would have had me stoked werent there..

msft showing a new halo...
ninten showing a new punch out
sony showing jak 4 (crosses fingers) or the next team ico joint

those would have been big deals to me.. the rest? meh.

Well, Nintendo dissapointed just like they did at last years e3 (fuck wii fit). Microsoft defianetly stepped their game up from last year. As far as I can remember all they had shown was video footage of games we already knew about, and some tv show thing. Sony's was prettty good last year and overal better this year. I think Sony would have won this years e3 if Microsoft didn't announe FF13. That was just too big of a bombshell.

Microsoft clearly won it. Sony is still playing catchup and is obviously having serious problems with Home and has no idea when it will be ready. Sony users will finally start getting features the 360 has but Microsoft has moved the bar again. Nintendo gives us a snowboarding game that Shaun White can't even control and another Animal Crossing.

New content-NBC/Universal/Sci Fi all missing on iTunes
New games-GOW2 FFXIII Fable II Halo Wars Banjo
New game types-You're in the Movies, Lips
New interface-Avatars updated Dashboard
New features-Netflix Instant Queue
New Experience-Prime Time Xbox

I'd like to point out that

MS gets FF13 == doesn't count! not a new IP!
PS3 gets Bioshock == new ip!

motionplus did it for me. But by no means does that mean Nintendo "won" the show. WiiMusic makes my penis go flaccid.

MotionPlus is NEW technology. Nothing Sony or MS introduced was new. Sure MS dropped a megaton on us, but look at it this way. FF13 implies there are 12 other games before it. That's not new, just awesome for 360 owners.

MotionPlus is SO NEW that PCs never even had it. now WHAT THE SHIT am i talking about? Play PC games 10 years ago and you will see what consoles are now. Crysis level graphics will be standard next gen or next next gen. Believe it. Don't believe me? How about Tycho from PA? He talked about this exact subject a while ago.

MotionPlus has me interested because it's NEW and could give me some new games to play.

I predict 2 years after MotionPlus is first sold, Wiimote 2 will arrive with motionplus built in.

Miike: Yeah, it might be new, but the damned thing was supposed to be super accurate already. MotionPLus seems to be an add-on that makes my controller actually work.

MS won this one, easily, even without a Bungie announcement. The games speak for them selves, and I'm very excited for the Netflix addition. I like LBP, but the rest of the show was mainly things we already knew about. And shouldn't they show Killzone 2 one of these days? I thought it was supposed to come out last century. My memory over the last few years is a little hazy.

Nintendo basically told all gamers to go fuck themselves. What a joke.

"The games speak for them selves"
What ones, exactly? Ignoring all third party efforts. You've got Gears 2 and Fable 2. Countered by LBP and Resistance 2.

Sony clearly had more games going for it, going by PS3 specific content.

Sony may have had more games going for it, but unfortunatly not too many I wanna play, not to mention all my friends are at XBL. You know, where the real online social party is taking place.

The FF series switched over from Nintendo to Sony in 1997. Okay now jump to 2008. Square Enix allows its most beloved franchise to be on another console. Yeah, It only took them 11 years to do that! I'd say it was BIG news!!!

Oh yeah it was huge news - I wasn't trying to denounce it or anything, just stating my tastes and all that. FF ain't my thing.

To each his own regarding games too, and it would be easier to find my friends on Live as well. :)
