@solidturtleman: No. No. No. Under the Red Hood was painfully bad.
Also yeah the animated version of Batman: Year One was amazing.

I haven't read the comics myself so that might be it. As for DiMaggio's Joker, any Joker is better than the one in Young Justice.
shame you didn't like Under The Red Hood though.
You should really check out Year One. It stayed very true to the comic.
In fact, I like pretty much all of the DC/Marvel animated movies!
Favorites are;
Under the Red Hood (yeah, I went there)
Wonder Woman
Justice League - Crisis on Two Earths
and Superman & Batman - Public Enemies
MUMBLE! good day sir.
I would watch a Shanghai Batman series, it's different enough to be its own thing. Every other asian batman thing has been shit, the short in Gotham Knights where anime-batman has a device that deflects bullets...ugh, friggin stupid.
Bane also did feel a bit out of place. They should've made him a Tengu or something. The wrestler's mask just didn't work.
I did like this though, even the whole bursting into a swarm of bats thing...go Shanghai Batman!
This short was awesome, though.
My current favourite is the latest though, Superman Vs The Elite. Exactly what I want in a Superman film.
I also was a fan of Under the Red Hood. Best animated Batman film I've seen since Return of the Joker, though I will say I haven't seen Year One (I just own the novel). Gotham Knight was... erm.... poop, imo.
@Aerograt: Given the high animation quality alone, it's unlikely that something like that would be funded, unfortunately.
@ flintmech: See, that's also what I've heard about Year One, which doesn't sound particularly interesting, as I've long since read the comic and can reach to the shelf and read it whenever I like. A few of the Gotham Knight stories fell flat, but all in all I quite liked it.
@The Goddamn: *waves* Glad to know you're still alive!
@ dtomek: Can't tell if you're serious because you removed capitalization from a proper noun, so maybe you just don't know that Bane is a character?
@Fuzunga: lol
On the other hand, there are a lot of people praising the animated Year One in here, and that I just don't understand. I thought it was SUPER disappointing. I say this as someone who absolutely adores Year One the comic. Again, it had decent animation, but why did they go with a generic anime-esque look? It just doesn't work with the tone of the story. I love Mazzucchelli's work on the comic, and I would have loved to see it in motion. As someone else said, the voice work is really flat and lifeless, only Cranston seems to put in any effort, and to no avail in my opinion. I would love to see Cranston play Gorden live action one day though, he'd kill it IMO. Action wise it's pretty meh as well, that one is not the movie's fault though, Year One is not a particularly action heavy Batman story. What can you do though? It seems some people were happy with it at least. I hope they make another version in the future though.
And now to make anyone who has agreed or disagreed with this post at all completely disregard anything I have said or will say: I'm not looking forward to The Dark Knight Returns animated movie because... Wait for it... I think The Dark Knight Returns is the most over rated Batman comic of all time.
"Wow. Quite a few people like Under the Red Hood."
From what I can tell, that's the general consensus regarding Under the Red Hood.
BASTA!
It looks like Kung-Fu Cooking Girls ended up providing Wolfsmoke Studio's meal ticket even if the poor sod in that video didn't get to keep any food down (not until it went down the wrong way,taking him down with it,anyway).
