I like a good California Brown Bear, simple, understated, the working man's bear. Seriously take some pride in your work who ever you are, at least run your posts through a goddamn spell check.
HA, interestingly I just tried it two days ago. It was pretty good! Still my new find of the month is definitively the "Nuit d'automne" (Autumn night) from Frampton Brasse. It's the softest 10% I've ever drank without the usual acidity accompanying strong beers. Give it a try if you ever come in Quebec ;)
As an actual beer producing Belgian I can highly recommend the Chimay Grand Reserve, also a Trappist beer and it comes in a 75cl bottle. Good times.

The best thing to do with beers like that is get two bottles, one to drink right away and another to put in the cellar (or any cool, dry dark place) in 6 or so months.
Also, if you like trappist-style ales, try the beers made by Brewery Ommegang out of Cooperstown, NY. You know they are doing something right when Duvel buys an American brewery so they can sell their beers in Belgium.

duchesse de bourgogne is an excellent beer but I think they poured some worcestershire sauce in their beer cause I can taste it :)
Yeah you can throw me in the snob community, I drink Three Floyds since their Brewery is about 2 hours away and their stuff is plentiful in alcohol shops in the area. I should go to a Darklord Day of theirs some time but I don't wanna wait 6 hours in line for it. A local shop sells that Rochefort stuff here for like $20 a bottle which is ridiculous.

Has anyone else checked out Untappd? The app or the website. Combining my love of beer with badge collecting, my liver doesn't stand a chance.

My beer selection filter works something like this:
Is it Guinness?
IF YES - Drink it
IF NO - Why is it not Guinnes? Is it another stout?
IF YES - Drink it and complain that its not Guinness
IF NO - Drink it and complain that it's not Guinness

Miller High Life bitches. I keed. When I drank it was Guinness or some stout I couldn't pronounce but tasted divine. Loved a good hefeweizen too.
