The Daily Hotness: Not so night vision? photo

The good news: Modern Warfare 2 "Prestige Edition" is going to cost just $149.99. The bad news: Those night vision goggles are probably going to suck. Good night vision goggles should run you about $300 at least.

Joseph looked at the divide between Dante's Inferno the game and book, Jonathan Holmes checked out the Nyko Perfect Shot, Paul Robertson is the power of 4 billion %, Resident Evil 4 looks to be coming to the iPhone, EVO starts this Friday and plenty more happened on 07/14/09.

The goggles are going to work the same way as the eyeclops night vision goggles.
Go check out some reviews of the Eyeclops NVGs (originally were about $95) and let that help you decide to spend the $149.

I searched "Jurrasic Park Night Vision Goggles" and found these. I was gonna say something about the part in the movie where the lawyer tells the kid to put the goggles down cause they're heavy (which means they're expensive, at least that's what he said.) Then I would have said something kind of witty about how these goggles will at least be heavy. However when I found these I decided to forgo that and just post this.

Too bad I have nothing more to say...

Maybe the goggles are good quality and they're giving it away at discount prices for the collector's edition. You never know...

They are probably just a cheapo web camera with some infra red LEDS around the aperture.

I doubt they will have much range.

No doubt it would be more crap that ends up in my man drawer anyway.

Yeah Activision is most likely making the most money off this edition of MW2. So those "NVG" are probably dirt cheap to manufacture.
