This Mortal Kombat themed stage almost appeared in the home ports of NBA Jam/NBA Hangtime. It was called "Kourt" and was set to have spines that held up the backboard, a skull hoop and a decapitated head for the basketball. The NBA denied Midway what would have been one of videogame's greatest levels in a videogame ever.
