I would recommend buying Sonic Generations and enjoying the two remixes. I think I was stuck in an infinite loop of playing both levels for about a month. I don't really need another copy of SA2 when I've already got the best part in HD.

As the others said, Sonic Generations is totally worth its asking price on Steam just for the City Escape and Rooftop Run stages. I never played Sonic Unleashed, but because of this song I kind of want to go back and try it. I daresay this is the most upbeat Sonic song ever.

Lame, my Gamecube has always been hooked up in my room. I actually played through the first few levels of Sonic Adventure 2 like a week ago.
I don't know what happens when sound is processed by your brains but I can only conclude you all like the sound of dropped cutlery.
The nu-metal garbage that has plagued Sonic games since they went 3D is simply horrendous. Did anyone play the old games?

Right, a post about it followed 9 comments all saying they like the song, and then 1 saying it's crap. Clearly the majority is crazy... that's how it works, right?
Or it could be that music is something that is dependent on any given individual's tastes, and the way Sonic music has evolved just (sadly) isn't up your alley.
I have played the older games and their music is nice too. It's actually some of the only overly-tinny sounding Genesis music I enjoy.

It's so sad that the sonic music degraded so badly as they went into their 3d foray. It's bad enough the gameplay was so offensive, but then I'm getting blasted with what is essentially Saturday morning cartoon theme songs instead of awesome sonic music.

Sonic's music has always been pretty good :) I LOVE the old and newest ones they are just awesome... Sweet mountain, For True Story, Dragon Road, Jungle Joyride, Metal Harbor, Westopolis, What I'm Made Of... and the list goes on and on...
Why don't you people saying modern Sonic's music sucks actually try listening to 2006, unleashed or Color's soundtracks. Heck, pretty much anything that isn't composed by Jun Sunoe because I'm pretty sure it's his music you're all pointing to when generalizing them.
