Well I'll be buggered. They just might have stuck to the source material fairly well for a change. That, and Harry Gregson-Williams does the soundtrack. For the uninformed, that's the fella who's been doing the incredible music for the Metal Gear series since MGS2, and a few well-known movies before that.

Oh great, another cliche action movie. "unlikely protagonist has to go on a quest to find some fancy artifact to save the world. Also there is a hot chick and a really evil guy."

The fact that they took a video game as inspiration, but are still using the same boring action/adventure formula makes me not want to see this at all.

Why do people always have to have British accents in movies that take place in ancient cultures? Persians weren't (and still don't) speaking English like they are in the film so would it be too weird for Gylenhaal to talk in his usual accent while everyone else talks in their own? It's just silly to me.
