The combat options of Reckoning explored in dev diary
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has a lot going for it, and no small part of that is the combat system which lets you combine together a variety of abilities to chain attacks and kill things. The video above does a much better job of explaining it than I do, despite its over-reliance on the word, "fate." Truth be told, I look at Reckoning and I see Fable without the hype. I see what's shaping up to be a deep, capable game with a ton of potential but without all of that fanfare and a ridiculously high level of expectation surrounding it. No outrageous claims, just a game that's trying to be the best it possibly can be. I can respect that. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It already seems far deeper than Fable, with fast less hand holding design, and many more options. These videos look so slick. This game looks so damn good. I love the art style and the combat looks great. Every new dev-diary makes me more excited. Looking forward to picking it up when it eventually releases. Is this the same game that had a teaser trailer with a bald night fighting some skeletons or something? It looks a lot better than its teaser showed off. Whoa.
Why the heck have I not been paying attention to this game? That trailer was freaking awesome. Bit too colorful for my taste but this is looking like a solid hack and slash RPG. I like the idea of being able to play a game multiple times with completely different character types and combat styles. Not really excited for this game. Looks solid but focusing some marketing on the game having a....combo system is a little desperate for a game in this day and age. Looks like a game I pick up 6 months after release with wallet scraps. :/ 6:00 AM on 03.05.2013 Schilling looking to dismiss lawsuit over 38 Studios loanCurt Schilling has requested a judge throw out the lawsuit against his now-defunct development house.
