The Broken Pixels vs. RingKing & Aerosmith

Some of the EGM/1UP staff have joined together to create a retro review show called The Brok3n Pix3ls, which is a bit like Mystery Theater 3000 and finding yourself drugged on your sofa with two of your friends back in the 80's when a Playstation was what you put a toddler into. In this episode they touch on two games best known for being utterly awful - Aerosmith's arcade shooter Revolution X and Ring King on the Nintendo. Ring King would be a long forgotten blip of Data East 8-bit obscurity if it were not for what is arguably the most homoerotic visual ever put into a sports game... what the heck are they doing down there?!! ringking3.gif Like a well oiled machine those two are, look at them go! They're not tightening the belts, tying your shoes, mending wounds, etc - it's man to man fellatio, a foursome sausagefest exhibitionist peepshow at the ringside. Even Wikipedia is behind us on this one. So indie game developers, take note! When you're up against a superior game like Punch Out, just throw a little sexual innuendo in there and you'll do just fine. Bonus reading: I-Mockery's sexual moments in video games for more unintentionally provocative look as the pixels of the young and restless. At the very least I'm sure some gaymers might have enjoyed this!
