The BioShock 2 cover art holds a secret (Update)

Yep, the box art for BioShock 2 sure does look similar in style and substance to the first ga--whoa. Now wait just a minute! What ... what is that? Look to the left of the Little Sister's head! What is that thing?

After asking around the office, here's what we were able to establish as possibilities:

  • A ghost
  • An alien
  • More specifically, an underwater alien thing from James Cameron's The Abyss
  • The Creature from the Black Lagoon
  • "That meme with the Asian dude holding out his hand and then crushing whatever was in it"
  • Fish (pfft, yeah right)

What do you make of this, Destructoid community?

[Update: I do believe AngelsDontBurn has cracked the case.]
