I don't think it's that crazy. XD It's kind of like Chained Combats, it looks like a lot of fun. The battling look likes the fighting in the recent "Tales of" games. UGH, I really want this game ALREADY.
I blindly buy every Tri-Ace game (yep even Radiata Stories) so crazyness or not, i'll still buy it XD.
I may have to buy a 360 for this, unless it's announced for PS3 relatively soon after release. Can't say I like the character designs (don't like the anime style and they look really out of place) but the game looks really fantastic. Let's just hope they don't completely fuck the story again.

Overall, I am very excited about what I've seen in these videos and others. I can't wait for this to release, and I'm hoping beyond hopes that they'll release a demo on live, but I doubt that will happen two weeks before the JP release/ 3 weeks before the US release.

the battle system isn't all that crazy. It's just a BIG field.
I personally don't see how different it is from SO3 *aside battling. not that MP draning crap). Besides the view. But I guess the game needs to be played for that.

It seems a little slower than 3's system, but it's pretty sexy all the same. And Tri-Ace has great music <3

To me, it really looks like they tweaked the system from VP2, what with it taking place in a big field, just that...well, it's blended with SO goodness.

Did you see screens or a movie of the Final Fantasy XIII 360 version? No? Then don't say it puts it to shame. What you saw was the PS3 version of FFXIII, no one knows what it will look like on the 360.

That looks pretty crazy, but pretty sweet. I've never even played a Star Ocean game before, but if this reviews well I'll check it out.
The videos are great, I am definitely looking forward to this game. I was hooked on Star Ocean 2nd Story and I enjoyed my time with the third iteration. Combat in Star Ocean games has always been a huge incentive for me to play them, always a joy.
Touché. Here's to hoping that the battle-system in FFXIII will be awesome!

The voices are annoying. The effects clutter is annoying. The elf is annoying. The annoying is annoying.
Why the hell did they ditch the semi overhead view of SO 3? I can't see what the crap is happening in those videos because the camera is always behind a character. WTF?
That and it looks like it runs at about 40 FPS. Hopefully they fix it before release :(

It looks like alot of fun, I wish characters followed you like they do in infinite undiscovery though considering the battle system is a hybrid of it.
Looks great, but my launch 360 is on its deathbed so unless there's a ps3 version guess im skippin this one.
