Indie designer Edmund McMillen wasn't kidding when he said The Basement Collection would be releasing in late August. Described as "9 years of indie video game goodness with all the bells an whistles I could drum up along the way," this compilation is slated to hit Steam (PC and Mac) on Friday, August 31.

For $4, you'll get Time Fcuk, Aether, Spewer, Grey Matter, Triachnid, Meat Boy, Coil, and two secret games, not to mention tech demos, soundtracks, and lots of other bonus content. Take a look at McMillen's rundown of what's included for yourself. This is one of those times when I'd feel stupid not to buy.

The Darkest Dungeon gods were kind to me

Hot off its huge Kickstarter success, Darkest Dungeon is already in a playable-enough state to have a demo at PAX East 2014. Although the demo was only a short snippet of what's to come, it was easy to get a sense of the them...more
