Looks like Kellee Santiago is about to embark on a new professional journey. The thatgamecompany president and co-founder has officially announced her resignation, telling Gamasutra it's time to pursue fresh challenges:
“After doing these three games [FlOw, Flower, and Journey], I think it was a really great opportunity for all of us to look at what we’ve learned and what I’ve taken from that experience, and go forth and take it into new arenas.”
Described as "completely amicable," Santiago's departure comes during a wave of critical acclaim following Journey, now the fastest selling PSN title of all time. Sources tell Gamasutra that "key staff departures" may be coming soon as well. As for the future, Santiago is not ready to discuss any upcoming plans, but thatgamecompany for their part are continuing work on a new project.
