That pesky DRM in From Dust has finally been removed
Keeping good on their word from two weeks ago, Ubisoft has finally removed the DRM that plagued the PC owners of From Dust. If you have an unreliable internet connection or you're not around a WiFi Hotspot, you will now be able to finally play offline. Seems a bit late as this is not really that big of a deal anymore, but I guess it's the point of the matter. The update doesn't fix the myriad of issues that people were having, such as game-crashing bugs, numerous glitches, spotty video card support, terrible controls, a 30 FPS limit and a lack of various standard graphics options. But hey, you get to play offline so that's good news, right? To Ashes: From Dust's DRM Removed [Rock, Paper Shotgun] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)The worst game of the year, people have to be nuts to buy a Ubisoft game for the PC, with there crazy DRM and buggy games. Whether or not the game runs is irrelevant, the fact of the matter is that people still bitched about this type of DRM but were completely ok with Blizzard doing the exact same thing. Uh, don't you still need to log into an account to even start the game? You know, like Assassin's Creed II, Splinter Cell Conviction, etc. Ubisoft etc.? Then why keep the DRM around for those two weeks? To stop pirates from what they're gonna do anyways? No patch to fix the ass cursor? Grrrr... I'm glad I got my money back. Besides only got 2 hours out of the game. @Degieni No it's not irrelevant, when everything else about a game works just fine there are far fewer reason to bitch about the one thing that might be ideal and besides there has been and still is plenty of bitching about blizzard and there always online policy. 7:15 PM on 06.19.2013 Jimquisition: Xbox One No DRM Emergency SpecialXbox One Eighty more like HA HA HA HA HA!
