By now you would have likely seen the Left 4 Dead demake video that was picked up practically everywhere. If you're one of the few who hasn't seen the footage, don't go back and watch it now. Since then, a new video -- noticed by 1UP -- has gone up, showing just how far this translation to 8-bit has come.
Two players huntin' the infected at once, zombies that aren't riddled with laughably poor depth perception, and a rather adorable-looking Hunter that glides across the screen magnificently. See, this really was a serious step up.
With a little over a month left until this game is going to be released as a free download, there's surely a lot left we haven't been exposed to. And, who knows -- maybe the next time we check in the game will be in even better condition yet.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Valve is way too amazing to shut this down, if they did it would be the sign of the apocalypse. I just can't wait to download this and play it with a friend on my NOTmodded Wii.
The first video turned me away from this game (looked way too easy). The second made me come back (apparently, that easy thing was only the first part of the first level. Huh, go figure). DEFINATELY an improvement from the first video. I've had loads of fun with Gang Garrison 2, so I'm expecting that this will be no different.
Now this is much more like it. It even shows graphic corruption during resets! The author seems to be taking some liberties with the limits of the NES, though. I'm sure that the NES would experience lag at the densest zombie groups in that video. That's excusable, but was the NES capable of alpha blending as in the bits where the Hunter lands hits?
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Quick, someone make a sequel to the SNES Shadowrun.
Valve wouldn't do that, and even if they did he is not charging for the game so I don't think they could do much more than send a nasty letter.
Valve didn't shut down Gang Garrison, did they?
If anything, I see Valve putting this in one of the major Steam news posts. Valve are awesome like that.
Not only did Valve not shut down Gang Garrison 2, they actually play it once in a while.
