With Swordfish Studios hung out to dry by Activision's swathe of studio merger destruction, the future of 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand, has been called into question. We can all breathe a sigh of relief, however, as Swordfish is now the property of Monumental and Blood in the Sand is done! YES!
Thanks to Monumental's purchase, the MMO middleware dev has now become one of the UK's largest independent dev teams with over 100 staff. The announcement of the acquisition contained no mention of Fiddy's latest gun porn gangsta fantasy, but CVG has been told that the title is ready to please millions of people who walk round with their underwear hanging over the top of their trousers.
50 Cent: Blood in the Sand is now apparently waiting for a less stuffed release schedule before it launches. Let us thank the stars that this game is still safe. I don't know where else I'd go to play out a delirious rapper's madcap Iraqi fantasy.

From what I heard about this game it's going to be hilarious. As much as I hate 50 cent, I may have to rent this, if only to see him die over and over again.
Going on my lunch to put down a fully paid pre-order on ANY GAME but this one.
