Thailand's '10 most violent' list is STOLEN: Evil criminal government! photo

While the Thai government is on a self-serving morality crusade following the murder of a cabbie blamed spuriously on GTA IV, they have exposed themselves as dirty common criminals themselves. The Thai Ministry of Health issued a list of the top ten most violent games, but neglected to note that the list was filthy plagiarism. Here's Thailand's list of dangerous games:

    1- GTA
    2- Man Hunt
    3- Scarface
    4- 50 Cent - Bullet Proof
    5- 300
    6- The Godfather
    7- Killer 7
    8- Resident Evil 4
    9- God of War
    10- Hitman

And here's Detroit Prosecutor Kym Worthy's list of the ten most violent games, issued last December:

1. Grand Theft Auto
2. Manhunt
3. Scarface
4. 50 Cent Bulletproof
5. 300
6. The Godfather
7. Killer-7
8. Resident Evil 4
9. God of War
10. Hitman Blood Money
Wait, what? It's twins! No wait, it's disgusting and shameless plagiarism on the part of Thailand. Just what are Thai officials teaching its children? That you can lie and steal and copy the work of others to get ahead? That's a sordid practice if ever I saw one, and Thai's Ministry of Health ought to be ashamed of itself. Theft indeed, of all things. And they say that videogames are corrupt.

I still can't believe The Punisher for PS2 is not on either list.

Goes to show the only people who get upset over video games are those who know nothing about them.

Clearly the Thai government was playing GTAIV which corrupted and taught them plagiarism...

Only Detroit could attain what Thailand aspires to be. A big woot woot for the Motor City. New city slogan, "We now contemplate burning video games!"

Wait, wait...they didn't totally plagiarize Detroit's list. Notice their #2 game...Man Hunt. I'm pretty sure that game doesn't involve the killing of other men...but it does involve sticking something in them.

On a side note, Kym Worthy is nuts. She's compiled all sorts of "facts" about violent video games and has been on a crusade for quite a while. I remember getting a chuckle out of that list when it was first released.

I like Killer7. It was fun and it's contrast to NMH is cool.

I don't actually believe the second list to be from the US. Theres no mention of Mortal Kombat on it.

But why the hell is the 50 Cent game on the list? That game is terrible and the violence is sub-par.

RE4 should not be on that list, cause zombies can't feel or think, therefore is it really violence at all?

List needs more Rayman for the wii...that game is so disturbingly sexual and racist.

50 Cent?

What moron came up with this list?

Wait, there's a 300 video game?

I guess I'm out of the loop. Either that, or they released it exclusively in Thailand.

GTA's more violent than Manhunt? What retard wrote this shit?
Also Hitman: Blood Money's so non-violent it should be rated T. No gore at all. Even when you blow someone up they just collapse as a ragdoll. Half-life 2's a more violent game because you can cut zombies in half.

Who the fuck put 300 on that list? That was a PSP exclusive. Who OWNS that game? Hell, who fucking KNOWS about that game?

Manhunt is the only game on that list that merits it even remotely. That game is awesome.

Killer 7 is not particularly violent when compared to so many other games. Is it mature? Incredibly, but it's not particularly violent.

Etc.

I don't get it. What difference does it make if the Thai government made that list or got it from somewhere else?
So it shows them to be ignorant arsehats who steal from other ignorant arsehats but you can't say that they didn't at least try to do some research on the subject and ultimately the point that they are trying to make still stands, that "these games are dangerous"

Video games are behind this as well, Jim. Thailand government officials were just instructed to play through Thief: Deadly Shadows 10 times straight.
