Capcom just announced that Wesker and Spider-Man are going to be in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Just as I get home from a day's worth of scouring the TGS show floor for hot videogame news, I check the world of the wide web to find that one of the biggest stories of the day has been out and about on the Internet for hours. Yeah, I'm bitter.
Still, I'm excited about the news. Wiskers Wesker has been near the top of my "most wanted in a fighting game" list for a long time. I can't wait to see how he plays. Also, including X-23 and Tron Bonne, that's four more characters that fall in alignment of the rumored Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 full roster that I posted a while back. That means that Haggar might really be in the game.

The longer they don't announce mega man and phoenix wright the happier I become.
Oh well, there's future MvC3 DLC or MvC4 to round out my dream team.
Also that list is wrong. Emma Frost and Mr. Fantastic were unconfirmed and Dormammu isn't on the list.
And I'll have She-Hulk, Warmachine, Akuma, and Chuck/Frank (It's okay to have one, but both is unnecessary) to leave me scratching my head wondering what the hell they're thinking,
Honestly, when characters like Trish, X-23 and other characters that nobody wanted from the leaked list show up as confirmed, it all but confirms that the leaked list was, at least at one point, THE list.
SO glad he's in now I dont have to comment in every MVC3 article, asking where he is
I don't mind half denials, but saying somethings not in for sure when it is makes it a load of crap.
Might as well be Activision if they're not above lying.

But there's "we don't comment on rumors" as a denial and "these characters are not in the game".
On the other hand, Wesker looks totally sick, I only wish he had his pimped out gun from mercenaries mode in RE4.
I don't maybe the characters remaining being confirmed will be awesome, but right now I'm feeling a little unsure.
So far I love the roster besides X-23, she's just boring. Gameplay wise she isn't so exciting (her moves look cool) and character design wise she is not interesting, her voice acting I've heard from the 5ish videos is pretty flat and forgettable. I don't think her story will really come across unless you see her ending, and playing single player is not what this game is about at all. It's not something I will be doing more than maybe once, out of the hundreds and hundreds that will spent playing this game. Where as someone like Deadpool, Dante, Ammy, Thor, Capt. America, Tron has a lot of their personality come through in their gameplay already.
One thing I will point out is that the rumored list you link to is fake. It has Mr. Fantastic and Emma Frost, who were both deconfirmed, and is lacking Dormammu.
I still check my window every now and then to see if a pig flies by though.
