Man, getting to replay some of my favorites with a second analog stick is going to be pretty badass. And to think I have all those games on PSN just going to waste. Man... Fuckin' Vita is all up on my cock right now.
So, if the store is available on launch day, not only will there be 26 launch games, but there will also be 500+ for those people who want nostalgia and just to play old PSP games?

That's a lot of games alright, but are any of them Halo or Gears of War? Advantage: Microsoft's handheld gaming device. Oh, right. they don't have one(that isn't a smartphone of some kind).

facepalm. no it just means that sony hides complete lack of games for Vita using backwards compatibility. i'm sorry, but the Vita userbase will consists mostly from people who already had psp and played all those games.

I was really hoping for UMD support. I don't want a library of virtual games which seems to be what sony is trying to shove down our throats. I was hoping that I could skip the PSP system entirely and play all of those gems on Vita, but I doubt sony is going to let me do that.

I really hope Sony does find something to do about UMD support on the Vita. I own around 30 of them so it'd be shame to have to rebuy/not be able to play(especially games like Resistance/3rd Birthday that might get analog support)

Again, Vita has an awesome launch games despite some being ports, 3DS had a puny launch, and the Xbox 360 hasn't had a real "hardcore" Xbox 360 game since Fable 3 (which is not even hardcore) and won't be getting one till next week...

As far as ports go, I don't mind them at all, as long as there are also new games available, which there will be. The more options the better. Ports are ONLY bad if that's all there are.

They might just give you vouchers for free dowloadable games if you have linked your old PSP and your new PS Vita to the same PSN account.

My main drawback is the limited space you have for digital downloads. Sure, you can buy new memory cards, burgher means switching out to play certain games. I have a hard enough time with my 80 gig PS3 with all the digital games I have on it. Once I finish Infamous though I'm erasing it.

In addition to those, earlier in the Sony TGS Conference, they revealed that there are 100 Vita titles in development that are planned to be released within the Vita's launch window, which is maybe a little shortly after the console is released worldwide.
And of course in addition to those are the PSOne downloadable titles.

This is going to be the best system ever made!! I can't wait, I'm going to buy 3 of them so that I will always have at least 2 with a fully charged battery. And all the amazing games that are coming out, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, that deviants game, and my PSP collection too! -Devil Survivor(game can be played on ds)
-Super Street Fighter 4 3D(port and still inferior since it has no characters from the arcade edition)
-MGS 3D (game from ps2 and will probably cost the same as the MG HD collection that has 3 games)
-Blazblue CSII(port from the psp version and it is inferior to the console edition that have exclusive charcters such as Relius Clover and ignis that will be on the “extended version”)
-Zelda: Ocania of Time(game that has already been released more than once)
-Starfox 64 3D (game on the N64, no multiplayer, or online. I don’t think a graphics upgrade is worth $40)
-RE: Mercenaries was a port/takeoff from RE5. (It didn't add anything new.. Not worth $40. Capcom screwed up big time on this with the Only one save data.)

So I already have 2 PSPs (one's for homebrew) and will DEFINITELY be getting a Vita. I love the idea of having a ton of PSP games downloadable and at my disposal all the time. My only concern is space. PSP games are not tiny and will quickly add up so I am very concerned about Vita storage. Other than that, I have no concerns whatsoever. Oh, well maybe battery life because there will most assuredly be times that I want to play some of the best RPGs around for more than 3-5 hours without charging, but we'll see how it goes.
