I'm pretty sure they said its a freeminum game and some pretty basic features are unusable with cash. Pretty stupid. Might as well pick up the psp version for 5 dollars.

If Hamza didn't like Beyond the Labyrinth, he didn't like Beyond the Labyrinth. If he screwed up on some information that at least one other major gaming site also got wrong, that's also not his fault but the fault of whatever company mouthpiece was feeding fuzzy news.
Sigh I'm not angry just disappointed. (notice the avatar?) I don't read dtoid that often anymore so I was just surprised.
Also, the item world is where you spend the vast majority of time in the game and features more gameplay and strategy than the rest if the game, save for the last boss...
The item world is pretty much the entire Disgaea experience without the anime dialog, so there's absolutely no reason to get your panties in a bunch, Stealth.

most people i know haven't spent much time in the item world at all. and when you say most of the experience, you really mean just the battles. this game will just be battles, without the story, without the dialog, or other character interactions, etc.... that seems kind of tedious. i mean the battle system is all kinds of fun, but it isn't the bulk of disgaea's charm for most people. the game is going to be free on android, but it will have micro-transactions, which makes sense seeing as how every item you buy and add to the game means another item world to battle in.
