@ J. Holmes I take it there's still no word on a release outside Japan?
Fuck my financial status sometimes, seriously.

TGS: Ni no Kuni PS3 is what Ghibli fans want
Ni no Kuni does for Ghibli movies what Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 do for American action films. The game is a first class anime that you can play. All of the backgrounds are coated in beautiful, watercolor-style textures, and the games characters are masterfully cel shaded. Where the game really got me was the character animation. It's so subtle, yet so masterfully crafted. The most evocative moments from Studio Ghibli films often come from those quiet, seeming inconsequential events that somehow work to make the animated world on screen feel completely real. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Prior to turning 3D I imagined games of the future to look more like interactive cartoons. This is the closest example to what my young imagination came up with.
@ J. Holmes I take it there's still no word on a release outside Japan? Importing this if no US release for sure. But really that'd be dumb. This title has the potential to move a lot of ps3 units. I want this so badly it hurts. I want this even more than the DS game. Not because i'm a graphics whore or anything, it's actually because i'm a monster raising fanatic This is beautiful and deserves to be on the Playstation 3. I'm sure Gibhli fans would want to have it on their system or get one to play this game. I thought we hated JRPGs that looked like anime? I'm excited about this despite my up and down feelings about Miyazaki. Gorgeous. Also, it was kind of funny hearing the Lords of Shadow trailer music in the background while watching the whimsical battle sequence. Dammit, Why can't this come to the 360? I was originally super excited for the DS version but now I'm feeling like I'll be missing out on a lot if I don't play it on the PS3!
Fuck my financial status sometimes, seriously. Holmes, this is why I dig your columns. You're a Ghibli fan, like 30 years old, and not afraid to show it. Rock on. This is the kind of thing Sony should be focusing instead of the Move, i could totally see myself getting a PS3 for this. 11:00 AM on 05.18.2013 Review: The Starship Damrey"This game contains no tutorials or explanations.
