I don't know, I just wish people would stop bitching about franchise direction and either play the game, or don't.
The music still kick ass though.
The demo crushed my hopes of the game somehow coming out OK in the end. Assault Horizon is officially on my "not even if it is on sale someday" list.
I could go on a nerdrage list of the aspects of the game which distress, annoy, or anger me, but there isn't much point in that. Gar gar, grumpy franchise fan upset that they shit on what he liked about the series and turned the game into everything he hates...
I didn't get a PS2 until after I had my PS3, so maybe I should find a copy of one of the older games instead.
The old Ace Combat games were good, and they had a fan base. If Namco wanted to expand sales I think they needed to entice an even MORE HARDCORE feel to bring all the fans back.

I just don't see what's with all the hate, if you like the game, great! If you don't then don't play it. In that fashion I wasn't referring to Hamza, his opinion is as valid as anyone else's. However, at least have correct terminology in your articles. I know it's nitpicky, but it makes all the difference to the readers.
Calm down, it's really not worth getting worked up over.
Says the guy who tells the staff reviewer how to do his job over a choice of WORD. Not plural, as in a choice of WORDS, but a singular item of speech. Yes, it's nitpicky, and it only made all the difference to you, because I'm a HUGE Ace Combat fan, and I, for one, give no such fuck. I can tell you the differences between a F-15E Strike Eagle and an F/A-18E Super Hornet, and I still couldn't give less of a gilded shit that Hamza dared to use the word "airships."
It's a fucking videogame blog. You're bound to hear that word. And to be frank, the only one getting worked up was you, since you made the initial bitch about something besides the game itself.

I see this game, and one half of me wants to be glad that it comes out on my 29th birthday (come on, 10/11!), but the other half knows damn well that they've probably ruined what I've bought the past six games in the series for. As I haven't played it yet, I'm anxiously awaiting a demo. I'm hoping I can dig it, because I'm that dude who spent that serious coinage on the AC6 flight stick bundle, and HAWX just wasn't going to cut it.
In fact, I've gotten more use out of that thing going back and playing Descent on my PC. Go fig.
