The first game that I played at TGS was Onechanbara SPECIAL!. We here at Destructoid have a long history with the Onechanbara series. That's probably why I was drawn to it. I found this familiar, bikini-clad, zombie murdering fiasco to be quite comforting as I began to navigate the foreign landscape of Japan. Also, there was no line! I wonder why...

The game seems to be taking it's cues from the Wii build of the game, and includes all four of the playable characters from that title... on its billboard. I'm not sure if all of them will actually be playable in the final game. What I do know is that some of the zombies look exactly like Andore Jr., which is awesome. I think that may have been true of past Onechanbara games as well, but I can't remember, mostly because Onechanbara games aren't that memorable.

Still, if this game comes to the US for $15 or less, I'm totally buying it, just for the Andore decapitating lulz.

For those of us who know bits of Japanese, you just made yourself a hilarious slip in the article title.

If it was "ONIchanbara", that'd be "big BROTHER", not "big SISTER". I don't think we want to pay to see a bikini-clad man fighting zombies. :-P

I love both of the Oneechanbara games released here in the States. I really hope D3 Publisher America gets on the ball and stops hording all these games!
Dream Club Zero, too. I think they're responsible for that as well.

btw, any new info on Idolm@ster 2?

Hopefully, this one will make it to the states. I imported the ps2 games, but now I'm spoiled after they brought the third and fourth games to the US. Here's hoping for more Aya and company goodness.

Because the smaller ones are more badass in these games. In the last one, Saki could rip out a zombie's heart with her bare hand and put it in her pocket so she could eat it later.

Also, Misery.

@CyricZ-Wasn't that what the first stage of God of War basically was?

If they throw in a big butch grappler type woman who is just as strong and has as strong an allergic reaction to shirts as Mike Haggar, the natural enemy of the Andore sub-species,who wrestles the undead back to the grave then I'd be all in.

Onechanbara on the Wii was a guilty-pleasure for me, this outta be interesting if it came out in the Western territories.
