This is the first time I've played Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 since E3, and the game has gotten even more awesome since then. I still sort of suck at it, but since so many of the game's characters are new, we all sort of suck at it. I even stood a chance against the great Seth Killian, as you can see for yourself in the video above.

The new characters really make the game worth freaking out over. All of them were so fun to play. We also get at one of the game's new backgrounds, the Resident Evil 5 stage. It's got "the Lickers behind the glass". They occasionally get out of their glass cages, wander around, then randomly die, leaving behind herbs and ammunition. It's pretty amazing.

To round things out, we get a special cameo from Niitsuman-san, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3's producer. I love that man.

So do the returning characters play similarly to how they controlled in MVC2, or did they get a new control scheme? Either way I'm playing as Chris Redfield, so this is my official dibs.

I hope cable is back in, even if he gets nerfed.

TvC had customizable controls, but that didn't change the fact that the control scheme had been simplified. If that isn't what you mean, the video did show two forms of playing:

1.) Normal - Which is the normal way to play.
2.) Simple - 1 button cycles through attacks, 1 button does specials, and assists and launchers are the same button or something.

Wait, that's from Resident Evil 5? I don't remember that from the game; it looks more like the lab from Resident Evil 1. Oh well, still want this.

Both are TvC controls, sort of. TvC had two different control schemes based on whether you were using a Classic Controller or Wiimote + Nunchuck.

But it seems like Normal is L, M, and H attacks, a launcher button, and two assists. Simple is L for normals, direction+M is special, and direction+H is super, still with a launcher and two assists.

Needs moar "Extremely unlikely character from a single page on a single comic or game that is incredibly obscure, but since I know they exist I'll buy the game anyway".

@epic-koryuken Not at all actually. It's as LK404 says.

MvC3 TvC
Simple Wiimote
Normal Classic Controller

The control scheme will not be MvC2 sadly, but it does work well and had a lot of depth in TvC. Streamlining may be annoying, but at least they streamlined it well.

God can you PLEEEEEASE see if it's possible to get another one of those bandanas? Please?

Also I'm pretty sure Seth has already gone on record stating you can play the game with a MvC2 scheme or a TvC scheme.

Normal controls is pretty much MvC2, but instead of having LP HP LK HP then assist 1 & 2, they have light medium, heavy, air launcher, and assist 1 & 2. I personally prefer this new control scheme. The air launcher is still used for special moves, like QCB+D (air launcher is D) is Captain America's cartwheel. The customizable controls means button mapping, like in any other fighting game.

Simple controls is pretty much Smash Bros. mode.

But goddamn does this game look fun. Unlike with MvC2, this game seems like all the characters are fun and fast and have some tools, I hope we can hear more about stuff like the utility supers(where you press three attack buttons down) and deeper mechanics like that with the characters. Also I hope the other alternate colors are better than the ones seen so far.

So V. Joe plays EXACTLY like TvsC? UGH! Not looking forward to this. I was really hoping for a more traditional control scheme. ah well.

So looking forward to this game. Gonna rock Chris for sure, X-23 is looking surprisingly fun too. Can't believe they finally made Thor an actual character after all these years, gonna be a blast pulling off lighting powered SPDs.

Lets hope they add in some Wesker!

Is it spring 2011 yet?...Wesker would be amazing, still a bit gutted there is no Frank Castle, but then again he would probably be to similar to another character.
