TGS 2008: Konami's TGS line-up looks vaguely familiar ... photo
     Tokyo Game Show

Konami has announced its Tokyo Game Show line up, and it's full of non-surprises and ... Metal Gear Solid 4? The full list:

  • World Soccer Winning Eleven 2009 (PS3, Xbox 360) Playable, Trailer
  • Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) Trailer, Stage Event
  • Metal Gear Online (PS3) Playable, Trailer, Stage Event
  • Genso Suikoden Tierkreis (DS) Playable, Trailer, Stage Event
  • Tongari Boushi to Mahou no 365 nichi (DS) Playable, Trailer
  • Castlevania Judgment (Wii) Playable, Trailer, Stage Event
  • Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) Playable, Trailer, Stage Event
  • Silent Hill Homecoming (PS3, Xbox 360) Playable, Trailer
  • ChaoticEden (PC) Playable, Trailer
Yes, Konami will have a trailer of MGS 4 on hand! And Metal Gear Online will be playable. In their defense, it's probably quicker to take a trip to Tokyo than sign up for a Konami ID.

We'll be bringing you completely coverage from the TGS show floor this year (it runs from October 9-12), and Konami is making our lives a bit easier. We recently played builds of Castlevania Judgment and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. And Silent Hill: Homecoming should be in stores right about now.

We're, of course, hoping for some surprises. Check back next week for our full coverage.

Unless they are coming out with an expansion of some sort for MGS4 I don't see any reason why they would display that game.

Oh ny the way I'm talking about the rumor of the downloadable "6 months later ending" that would come out 6 months after MGS4. Also hopefully some new weapons/items for singleplayer and something new for MGO.

well, they might give out new passwords to some new items, like they did with the Altair costume or the type 17 pistol, etc.

I may be mistaken, but isn't there going to be an MGO tournament at TGS?

Or am I thinking of a different event?

Also, they're probably just going to show off some new MGS4 DLC. Hopefully finally announce a new patch that allows in-game music access(like, to music on yer HDD and maybe trophies.

Is it an exclusive, never before seen, world premiere trailer? Because that's just pointless if it isn't
