No gameplay in this one, but with Devil May Cry, you know what the gameplay's going to be -- juggling, shooting and running around looking ludicrously cool. This trailer, fresh from the Tokyo Game Show, is made up of some of the killer cinematics that will be present in the game, including ... is that? ... yes it is, that's a dude with a monocle! As Destructoid's "Mr. Monocle," I can't help but fully approve of anything Devil May Cry 4 does now, just on the strength of that one character.
Character aside, this trailer brings everything we expect from the DMC series. The sense of style, even in the face of physics (you can't load a gun like that!) gives the game a sense of self-parody that was very evident in the previous game. I remember laughing my head off at the intro movie for Dante's Awakening thanks to how ridiculously over the top it was. It seems DMC4 is going to keep that cheesey spirit alive. Awesome stuff.

Meet the rest of the team
I was never a great fan of Devil May Cry, it was all brainless button mashing, and I am quite tired of that game mechanic. Only God of War felt refreshing as its presentation was indeed epic.
Well, its nice to expect a battle of great proportions between two main characters.
Reminds me of Legacy of Kain Defiance. Oh boy did I came when Kain finally battled Raziel (the game is out for years, play it, its no spoiler, you'll be expecting the battle almost since the beginning of the game).
This trailer is good, the game will rock (I hope), it plays well and so on... But this trailer is old. Although it is labeled "TGS 07 Cinematic Trailer", the very same trailer was shown at GC 07.
But there is a new trailer shown at Tokyo Game Show, it's this one.
Very true, but when you get to see the magic up close, well then it's pretty nice. Besides, I'd prefer to see it happen even with infinite ammo for the guns. But just as long as it looks that sweet.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
It just made my to-buy list.
