TGS 09: South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! priced photo

When it comes to South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! (hell of a name, isn't it?), I feel like you don't need to necessarily like tower defense games to enjoy it, and similarly, you don't have to be a massive South Park fan either.

From what I hear, it's actually supposed to be much more than just a simple, competent TD with jokes and characters from the show crammed in, which is exactly what public perception would have you believe South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! is.

While the game's October 7 release date has been known for some time, one new and important tidbit to come out of TGS is the price. Would you believe me if I said it was 800 Microsoft Points? I seriously had to do a double take when I saw it, because $10 seemed too fair for recent XBLA standards.

Perhaps someone over at that division of Microsoft has undergone a change of heart?

I love South Park but not really a big fan of TD...I mean with so many TDs available you'd think they would have done something like a minigame collection (sans Trivia) or a TPS or hell a point and click adventure game ...it just seems like an odd use of a license.

TD games are the jam - PixelJunk Monsters is still a fave of mine. Can't wait to take this one for a spin...especially if they have "Let's Fighting Love" as a track in the game.

"Hay hay let's go kikai tsuru, taisatsu no mono PROTECT MY BALLS..."

10 bucks isn't too bad. I'll have to demo it first, though.
