Sony revealed during their second press conference of the day that a bunch of older PlayStation 3 and PSN titles are getting updated to support the new Motion Controller. Here's the full list of what we can expect to work with the Motion Controller when it's released Spring 2010, so far:
- Little Big Planet
- Ape Escape
- Echochrome 2
- Eccentric Slider
- Sing and Draw
- Champions of Time
- Motion Party
- The Shoot
- Tower
- PAIN
- Flower
- Hustle Kings
- High Velocity Bowling
- EyePet
The list above contains games that were already released and brand new titles made for the Motion Controller in mind.
Resident Evil: Alternative Edition was also announced during this segment and it will make use of the new Motion Controller wand thingy too. We'll have more details on Resident Evil: Director's Cut later in the morning. In the mean time, what do you think about this? Happy that Sony is having these older games work with the new controller?

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Have they announced any sort of "nunchuk" attachment? Either that or an analog stick on the motion controller (with the option to use two at a time) is basically essential. If Sony's Motion Controller can pull off what the Wii should have been on a console with actual horsepower I'll buy it at a high price.
Is this "RE:Alternative Edition" the same as RE5 Director's Cut? Not sure I want motion controls in RE5. Definitely not if they're like the absolutely hideous RE4 Wii Edition.
How is $40 for a controller as opposed to the 360's $50 and the PS3's $55 overpriced?
As far as the controller itself, I'm more excited for this than I am anything else right now.
@hpv
You really didn't like the controls in the Wii version of RE4? I thought they were the best action game controls we've ever gotten in a game period.
I am so getting this IMMEDIATELY.
RE4 and 5 are pretty much a different series altogether, so I would really compare it to the originals and say it was best.
Also, the Wii pointer is crap compared to a mouse.
"How is $40 for a controller as opposed to the 360's $50 and the PS3's $55 overpriced?"
Because people paid $55 bucks for the PS3 controller already, and that's the new one, what about if you bought a extra old one without rumble? That's another $55 on top of that. This is not a standard controller, so its nothing more than a peripheral, ala Wii Motion Plus.
Except Wii Motion Plus is a add-on, where as this thing is a whole new stand-alone peripheral. Which for some game you'll need two of them, one for each hand, so that's getting pretty pricey, don't you think? Considering that you need a PSEye to make the damn thing work, in the first place.
Would you mind expaining why you feel that way? I would be pretty excited to see some cool new bonuses.
Too bad they ruined what could have been a awesome adventure game franchise by turning it into a minigame garbage dispenser.
But please tell me that pink orb isn't part of the controller...
