Sega unloaded a bunch of screenshots and character renders from Valkyria Chronicles 2 at TGS today. I am here to serve as a conduit for those images, a source by which you may view and enjoy them. That is the purpose I serve today.
It looks promising. The look is right, although it isn't as though the first game really pushed the graphical limits of the PlayStation 3. If it can keep the same caliber of storytelling along with the endearing characters, I suspect we're in for a treat.

Anyway, the multi-area maps just sold a me on a PSP and VC2 preorder.

I feel the same way. I'm hoping the story and battle system can make up for it. Overall, I am looking forward to what the sequel has to offer.
Funny you should mention that, I just took a look at the above characters and cringed.
I think the most important thing for the success of the sequel is for them to keep the sense of "this war is bullshit, but if we don't fight it we'll all be exterminated."
When you think about it, that's basically the Gears of War story line. The difference is of course a bunch of kids who risk death to save something they consider worthwhile versus "FUCK YEAH! LET'S KICK SOME ASS" with some shoehorned emo-ism to attempt to give the characters some 'depth.'
