It's no secret that we love Bayonetta here at Destructoid. It has a ton of over-the-top action, a sexy main heroine and the main hero has shoes that are guns. That's a combination of extreme awesome in our books.
We're not sure if the preview build Sega has at TGS is new or the same thing from PAX, but we do have some new screenshots for you to check out at least. My favorite of the screens is the one above as the header for obvious reasons.
I wish I could do what she does with her hair. I'm crazy hairy and wouldn't mind extreme hair super powers.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

I expect the game to play fairly well. I also expect a fig leaf of a story to cover up the action.
What I'm really hoping for is some ease of use: the only hardcore action game I've played before this was Ninja Gaiden II, and I simply thought that there were too many damned moves to learn. Mix in the cheap hits out of nowhere and the terrible camera, and I just about dropped that game after reaching level 8.
