YES. After being leaked a few weeks ago, it was officially confirmed yesterday that Frank West will be playable in the upcoming Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars, much to our delight. We got a quick peek at a few of his moves in the opening video that accompanied that announcement, but only a peek.

Now, thankfully, we've got a direct-feed video of a full round of gameplay to show you. Here you'll get a good look at what to expect, and I gotta say, some of Frank's attacks are looking pretty vicious. His move list looks to be inspired by Shoma Sawamura from Rival Schools, with a dash of Jill Valentine ala MvC 2. Golf clubs, baseball bats, zombies falling from the sky, and a super that starts with a Servbot helmet and ends in pure punishment.

A lot of it is made up of the moves Frank could pull of in Dead Rising as you level up, like swinging enemies around by their legs. Be sure to note the camp voice calls upon execution, like "Real Mega buster!" and "Deeeeead Rising!" during his Shoma-like home run attack.

There's also a second video above showing off Tekkaman Blade, who looks to be a total badass in his own right. Tatsunoko Vs Capcom was nothing but fun when I got my hands on it at this year's Otakon, and these great new additions can only make it better. Ultimate All-Stars will see a worldwide release on the Wii early next year, hitting North America on January 26, Japan on the 28th and Europe on the 29th, with worldwide online play all around.

I've already seen both of them, and each has a killer move set. That, and the balancing they're giving this game are making it look really appealing.

honestly some of Frank's movesets (shopping cart, zombie.) remind me of Jill from MvC2 with more freedom.

though I'm still wanting to know if Zero if MMZ Zero or old school Zero. I really want them to finally put in original Zero seeing he's long overdue for another fighter appearance.

Wait, was online officially confirmed? If I read the last sentence right, it seems so. I thought they were just working on it, and hadn't confirmed it was in.

@Ckarasu: Yes, worldwide online play is officially confirmed. Japan is getting a new "international" version of the game to support it as well.

@Topher: You have just made my day. Hell, you just made my week. Hopefully, they will make a good online mode. Oh, and when did they confirm it? Just today? Just wondering.

For a second I read the line
"Ultimate All-Stars will see a worldwide release on the Wii early next year,"

as

Jump Ultimate Stars will see a worldwide release on the Wii early next year,

And all most had a heart attack at the notion of Jump ultimate Stars coming out of Japan. Oh well this is good to.

@Ckarasu: It was confirmed about a month ago, back when they said they'd be revealing the new characters at TGS.

Hmmm. I guess hardly anyone caught that part. I kept hearing it was not confirmed. Hell, I still hear it is not confirmed.

Something is busted. Both of these videos are the same for me, and neither feature Frank West.

Sorry Dex, not sure what's up there. They're both working fine for the rest of us.

Things I love about this-

1) They Kept Frank West's fucked up nose.

2) They kept Frank West's "batter up" special from Chop Till You Drop

3) Frank gets attacked by his own zombies

4) Zombies fall out of the sky

5) Frank can stun with his camera

6) Franks supers are awesome

7) Frank West is having the time of his life.

Seriously, it's great to see the guy having what appears to be fun filled time, especially after seeing him act so glum and serious during the events o DR. In a roster filled with serious fighters and sci-fi superheroes, he's the comic relief "everyman" that theis game needed (especially since they took the genie out).

If the rumors that Zero will be the game's other new Capcom character are true, TvC:UAS will officially have my favorite roster out of any Capcom Vs game (not counting games that feature huge casts of recycled sprites like MvC2).

You know i was thinking, more on the capcom side. They had mega man in MVC2 and they add roll. After re listening to the mega man anniversary RFGO episode, i kinda wanted to see a kinda favorite or well known mega man boss as a secondary mega man character. Maybe Gutsman, or boomer kuwanger, or even one from mega man 9. idk, just rambling but yeah. i think that would be kinda cool.

The inclusion of frank west is genius.

He screams "oh my god", when a zombie comes in, and says "that's hilarious" when he stuffs the serve bot head on someone.

How can you not buy this game?!
