A heavy Christian agenda? It's a kids show entirely and straightforwardly focused on Bible stories -- viewers are aware of that when they press play. I wouldn't exactly call it an "agenda" as you have, when it's clear of its own purpose.

I tried watching this, but I only made it like halfway through. I probably would have managed to get through it if it were like retro looking, or more Minecrafty. The 3D just looks too weird.

If you go into Veggie Tales expecting anything that isn't a Christian-based message, you're watching it wrong. It's not a Christian agenda, it's a Christian show.

For the record, teaching kids that they can attain a certain set of values and morality through a very specific ideology that, at its core, is unnecessary for that process to occur is kinda textbook propaganda.

The trouble with VeggieTales is that due to politics and the company that produces it being bought out more times than anyone cares to count, it's no longer a Christian show. The creator gave up on it and started a new company and a new show called Jelly Telly.

You probably take your beliefs as the correct one, but who is to say that you or the Christians, or the conservatives, or the liberals, are anymore right or wrong than the other. what makes a Christian wrong and you right, what makes a Christian right and you wrong.

I think the trolling for christian/conservative backlash has gotten out of hand over the past couple of years, Agent9 is probably just as tired of it as I am. Several writers on D-toid consistently make "off-hand remarks" while waving a flag of tolerance and always act surprised when there are readers that get annoyed by it.

Agreed, I can take a joke but that’s like making Mexican jokes every other post, it was funny the first couple of times but as a Spanish person myself the jokes can wear you thin.

The remark just happened to be pushing me enough to comment on it. it's not something new I put up with it every day from the moment I wake to the time I sleep but in all I must be tolerant of all others and yet I can't be tolerated.

The way it sounds, either I have a history of making such statements and thus should be under fire for my continually "insensitive" comments, or I just happened to be the guy you chose to rail off on because other people who are not me said some things and now I'm catching the heat for it.
But sure, I'll play your game. Next time I'll crack jokes about Muslims and Jews. Would that make you happy? To see Muslims and Jews get kicked around for a bit, because heaven knows they've gotten off easy for hundreds of years.

what i mean is that excessive jokes or comments that put down someone for any reason can become insulting but likewise we also have to take a joke every now and again because sometimes people are just trying to be funny and mean no harm.

what i garner from your second paragraph is that it's ok to make jokes about christians because christians haven't had it hard enough. I get the off beat feeling that your acusing me of hating muslims and jews (which is not true) and that I derive some pleasure out of their suffering because of my own beliefs (again no). I hope the above statements clairfy what i was trying to say because it seems like we've hit a communication error.
