Tetris: Downloaded on mobile phones 100 million times photo

Look, I like Tetris. I'm not any good at it, but I like it. I just don't get why you'd download it on a mobile phone. It's already difficult for me. Putting it on a device with little (or sometimes no) buttons only makes it more difficult.

I guess that's just me, though. Tetris has been purchased as a mobile game 100 million times...since 2005. That's insane. That makes it the best selling mobile game of all time. That makes EA quite happy, seeing as how they picked up the license in 2006.

I wonder how many of those 100 million are iPhone Tetris copies. That game is crap.

I have bought Tetris for every mobile phone I have ever owned. Right now I own a LG Envy. It controls fantastic. Actually, I never had a problem with controls on a mobile.. Maybe its just you.

No disrespect, but I prefer Lumines.

Tetris will never die.

I have tetris on my current phone. It has touch screen controls, it's passable, not sure if it's related to the iphone version at all. The thing that confuses me is there are like 4 different versions of tetris I could download, whats the difference between them all? None of them have free trials so it seems that I have to pay up to see the differences.

I almost purchased the EA Tetris game on the Android Market... but as far as I can tell, it has a horrible resolution and very poor controls - at least, that's what the reviews say.

And then I realized I can run NES, SNES, GBC, GBA, and Genesis games on my phone. Now I don't even have to worry about EA's $5 piece of garbage.

Just to clarify, I don't think Tetris is a "piece of garbage". Tetris is one of my all time favorite games. The Facebook Tetris app is 80% of the reason I've ever spent time on that site! I just don't need to buy EA's unusual-looking remake when I can just play the NES ROM on my Droid.

Don't be silly, you're not allowed to suggest to an iPhone user that some aspect of the iPhone, be it software or hardware, is crap.

You're going to be walking down the street one day soon and every iPhone user you see will come up to you, to you personally, and shove their phone in your face telling you how fucking awesome it is.

Karma will catch up.

What on earth are you babbling about? How complicated do you think Tetris' gameplay mechanics are?

4 arrow keys; that's all it takes.

So my question is, why wouldn't you want to download it on a mobile phone, where most (if not all) current phones have arrow keys?

@AnonEmoose:
Four arrows, two or more rotation buttons and a hold button.

@The-Excel

Shit, the game is totally complicated now!

Excuse me while I care even less.
