Terminal Reality boss: 'Ghostbusters will be published' photo

We don't think Terminal Reality could have gotten better PR than the hype surrounding word that Activision Blizzard had dropped their Ghostbusters project. While Activision Blizzard reps wouldn't truly comment on the game's fate, Terminal Reality's Mark Randel is adamant: you will play Ghostbusters

"Ghostbusters will be published," he told videogaming247. "That's all I can say at the moment."

The title (which has been in development for awhile) had received a massive PR push prior its publisher woes, including a top spot on the cover of Game Informer. It had seemed unlikely that the game would be scrapped altogether, but this is comforting confirmation for those looking to have busting make them feel good.

Further proof that the game is alive and well: we received preview code for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ghostbusters earlier this week. While it's only a short snippet of gameplay, it does confirm that the game is on track and very playable. Check back tomorrow for our full impressions.

Nick, this about made my head explode. I'm still not sure what exactly you are trying to say there...

i am still very worried about this game.

IF it still comes out, im worried that it will not be till next year (June 6 - 25th anniversary) or worse yet, published by sony and not released on the 360 (i do not own a ps3.... yet)

I can't wait to play this game in 2012, just before the world ends.

Why does nobody want to publish this? Good game or bad, is it that much of a risk? People are going to buy it based on brand anyway (see: every shitty Dragonball Z game Namco/Bandai farts out). The game's basically done, the voice talent is a lock, and previous have generally been favorable, why would Activision drop it?

I am just still in utter shock that Activision Blizzard dropped that particular title. Do they not realize the insane amount of hype that that game is generating? I mean, I know that they have WoW and all, but why would they give up on another reason to print money?

DrNutt: Activision and Blizzard have Call of Duty 4's and WoW's cocks so far down their throats, it is amazing they can even speak. Seriously, they PUBLISHED good games, but get over it and help out other developers. This game is going to sell well no matter what the reviews are. But for Activision and Blizzard, if it doesn't Call of Duty or World of Warcraft on the box, then it is utter shit. And Guitar Hero. Fuck Activision. Say hello to the new EA.

Well, yeah, I get that, but why not publish another game on a cherished IP that is bound to sell like crazy?

Also, I am so excited to play this while streaming the soundtracks from Ghostbusters 1 and 2 through my system. I loves me some "next gen" hardware!
