TenNapel: Earthworm Jim 4 not in development
Last night, a rumor circulated the Internet concerning a "confirmation" of Earthworm Jim 4 on the Wii. Unfortunately, it would appear that rumors of Earthworm Jim's return from death had been greatly exaggerated. Game creator Doug TenNapel has revealed that, although Interplay is interested in a new game, no such title is in development. "I read the initial post by the guy who put up the drawing I did for him and almost NOTHING in the post he wrote was true," he explained. "I'm getting piles of letters asking me to confirm or deny the post and from what I've read it's total disinformation." In our early discussions about the game, we had tentatively brainstormed ideas for the Wii. That is NOT a confirmation like the guy posted. We haven't presented the idea to Nintendo and all of what the guy posted in the article could actually jeopardize a real EWJ game coming out on the Wii, by Interplay involving me!" TenNapel also revealed that, while we can hope for an Earthworm Jim 4, there are many factors getting in the way, like assembling the original team, the financial situation, and everything else that affects a game that we, as fans, don't think about. I sincerely hope we get good (and real) EWJ news in the future, but Doug has warned that we can't believe anything we hear until it's screamed from a mountain by Interplay itself. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)shame. wii-mote and worm head could be a funny combo to control. shit, i might make it instead. is that allowed? Damn. Was hoping for Earthworm Jim to get a much needed retro revival! I really like Earthworm Jim as a character. The games were pretty good, too. I mean, I never did beat the second game and I never even played the third one(heard it was hideous). Yet, the thought of a fourth title sounds exciting! I'm sure it will, eventually, happen sooner than later. Let's hope... That's a shame, but really they do need as much of the original team as possible including TenNapel and Tallarico, the games composer... 11:15 AM on 05.09.2013 Kotaku lied: Nintendo loves penises AND butts! In a recent article on Kotaku, writer Patricia Hernandez pointed out that, while Nintendo will censor asses, it has no problem showcasing a delicious penis.
