Eons ago, Famitsu hosted a stream event for Super Street Fighter IV. Internet super sleuths (SF fans) were no doubt excited for this little taste. But it appears the demo did more than wet whistles -- it also revealed ten fresh characters are slated to hit Capcom’s upcoming fighter.
It’s all in the character select screen. On inspection, you’ll notice there is a total of four blank slots. According to EventHub’s math (and sharp eyes), this brings the total of new characters above six to the staggering number of ten.
Keep in mind that this was a demo. It’s impossible to confirm this kind of thing from the footage. All the same, we’ve reached out to Capcom to check if (a) there are ten characters coming to SSFIV or (b) if there’s only a single new, unannounced fighter (Brad Nicholson, duh ) set to occupy all four of those slots. We’ll let you know when we know.
