Quantcast

Jonathan Holmes just posted his review of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle and to call it glowing would be an understatement. I have to agree, as I've been having a hell of a good time with it myself.

If you're still not sold on how good this game is and need some visual stimulation, why not check out the first ten minutes of the game? There's some combat, some story and a little fourth-wall breakage. All pretty good stuff. There's a bit of language, though, so you might not want to watch it at work.

Enough with the cotton. Jesus, how did this happen? Where in the marketing chain of command was it decided that cotton is like crack for destructoid readers? Wouldn't a more logical thing to advertise be, I don't know... games? Or is this an automatic advertisement that you guys have no control over.

Oh, and also, that was a funny fight.

This game pretty much has most UK wii owners raging right about nowcome on people! Early 2010? Fuck that noise..

At least it's better than Japan where oddly for a Japanese game they haven't even got a fucking release date.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a cutscene right before that video. Not exactly the first 10 min, eh?

Nice fourth-wall breaking there. I love it when people do that!

@Perfidious:

Near the end. "We're not gonna be satisfied until you do! {looks to the game player for affirmation} Right?"

There is never a good reason to break the fourth wall, even if your trying to be funny. It's absolutely terrible. The only time I found it successful was in a scene from Scrubs where they pretended to.

When you see your bro in hell, tell him he's still A DOUCHE!

Well that was a great way to spend time waiting for pizza. Great wall breaker there at the end.

Agreed on the fourth wall stuff, I'm also not a huge fan. I think it works here though.

Well into my second playthrough on bitter difficulty. Still loving this game.

if you're complaining about fourth wall breaking in NMH2 then you obviously haven't played through the entirety of the first. it worked just as well in that one :V

Right on Holmes. I actually just bought the first game, and looking forward to playing it. I'm just hoping they don't use it too often.

@ Reien- Other than the narration in the begging, and the cell phone calls, I don't think they do it too much in NMH1. NMH2, I believe it's just at the beginning.

I hope you like NMH1. If not, don't write off NMH2. Other than the combat and the general flow, they're pretty different games.

Jesus, remind me to stop typing comments in between TvC matches.

@ Sora- Yeah, you think he looks like Cloud too? There are a lot of people that think it's "just a coincidence".

Its just not the look! The stance, The grip of the sword. the sword itself(well the idea of it resembles it) The Emo-factor to say. Fighting for someone who Travis killed close to him. (aka. Sephiroth=Travis?) yeah...Cloud got Whacked.. >XD

After playing a good bit, it seems that Suda and Co. decided to make a game that's simply entertaining this time around rather than one that makes you think, confuses you, or messes with your mind. Some of the charm left when they decided to do this, I think.

Am I just being ornery for no reason? It's a great game, but I just miss some of the little touches from NMH 1.

This blog seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you promote it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to post about is the most important thing. lebanon flowers || deliver flowers to brazil
