and I guess many other RPG styles will be used as well will be melded for JRPG awesomeness.

I dunno. Regardless of console this game doesn't look all that interesting.
So, considering it's already budget priced, I guess I'll buy it 2 months after release.
The problem with this game is... it lacks of substance. The graphic is forgivable actually, but it's the game itself is plain awful. Having read all the reviews of Japanese player and discussion, it could be possibly the worst game of the year.
This game is actually not primarily NIS developed. Its primary developer is Hitmaker with some collaboration on the side with NIS. It seems that NISA realizes that saying the game is Hitmaker-developed isn't the best idea so they're trying to push it off as NIS developed.
Yeah, for a PS3 game, it does look very lazy. That said, I like the idea of targeting body parts in a set way to try and find the quickest way to defeat enemies.
Could Nippon Ichi's problem be with choosing games that don't push things graphics-wise?
I really want to support NIS right now, but... damn, they're not giving me any reason to.
Sorry, I don't care how much love you have for jrpgs, even post FFXIII, but this game looks like a god awful, PS1 game on PS3. This is an example of a japanese devloper not doing enough, with regards to 3D tech. What's wrong with you all, go and learn some 3D Studio/Maya etc, cause right now, a video from one of those would be more acceptable than this junk.
And that intro? Come on, using those static screens is lame, as is the lame story. I love Nippon Ichi, but they have to move into 3D games better than this.
