I'm all for a game that has the words "badass" in its name. Wait, is this a first for gaming?

Soon to be released on the PSP, Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble has you controlling your home town area's biggest high school badass. No one questions your authority. But, in an effort to extend your badassery, you do your best to slowly work your way across Japan, making it so that you're the badass of the country.

In our Ten Minute Taste, you'll see the opening story cinematic as well as a bit of early gameplay. There's also a sort of tutorial where your former badass of a dad lets you beat him down so that you're fully prepared to take on the rest of the country.

Look for our full review of Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble tomorrow.

["Ten Minute Taste" is something new we're trying here at Destructoid. Simply put, we'll rip the first ten minutes of a game to video -- loading screens, warts and all, no commentary to sway you in any direction -- so you can judge it and experience it exactly as you would when you first pop the game in. Let us know what you think.

For games like this I'd rather see a 15-minute taste. Less cutscene, more gameplay. Also whoever was controlling the dialogue moved real slow on shorter lines (train scene) and skipped some longer ones (father's lesson).

Looks like it could be fun though, depends on the game's depth.

This game is just ridiculously funny and awesome.
I feel like this is like No More Heroes, it terms of its satirical nature.

Didn't Atlus actually release a 30-minute video of the gameplay? Anyway, it's quirky enough to be interesting for me. Ack, I just used "quirky".
