Answer our Bloggers Wanted call and get your blog promoted to the front page

[Bloggers Wanted is a monthly (ish) feature where the Dtoid staff pose a blogging topic to the community and then promote the best ones to the front page. Fun!]

With Grand Theft Auto V releasing earlier this week, I've been thinking a lot about my personal history with the infamous franchise. The first GTA game I played was the original on PC, and my goodness did my brothers and I love it. Running over lines of Hare Krishna ("GOURANGA!"), driving tanker trucks at full speed and slamming into cars stopped at traffic lights (instant explosions), and just generally causing as much mayhem as we could manage before inevitably dying or being stopped by the cops was the name of our game, and boy were we good at it. Even after all the open-world goodness in GTA III, Vice City, etc., the original still holds a special place in my heart.

GOURANGA! (I should probably seek help.)

What about you? Whether they're from an older game in the series or GTA V, we want to hear your GTA memories! To participate, just write a community blog, title it "Tales from GTA: [Your blog title here]", and select the Bloggers Wanted Essay Response tag. The best blogs have a chance at being promoted to the front page, so take some time and perfect your work!

Have fun!
