Tekken soundtracks now available on iTunes photo

Where are my game music nerds at?

I'm definitely among those ranks, and have lately changed my status to budget-conscious game music nerd. Thankfully, the latest releases from Namco Bandai work for me.

The Tekken series has some great music that has plenty of stand-alone power. In other words, you can rock this stuff out of context and still enjoy it. The North American iTunes Store has just seen the addition of both the soundtracks for Tekken 6 and Tekken 2. Believe it or not, you can get the whole Tekken 6 collection, 17 tracks, for only $5.99. That's a no-brainer. Tekken 6's OST features 32 tracks and goes for only $7.99.

Nice, Namco Bandai. Keep 'em coming, and keep up with the low cost collections. Much appreciated. Now how 'bout dropping the price on that arcade stick bundle for me?

I have the soundtracks from tekken 3, 4 and 5 on cd and they are awesome... The tekken 3 soundtrack cost me a small fortune though, as i had to import it from japan

i don't think i'll buy the tekken 6 soundtrack though.. Aside from electric fountain, most of the tracks didn't really click with me (i can say the same for the tekken 5 DR soundtrack unfortunately)

No dice, Tekken 3 and Tekken tag Tournament had the best music by far.

Nice to see them pick Tekken 2 as that still holds my heart for overall fave Tekken music tracks.

it DOES need Tag though. Both Arcade and PS2 tracks.

Sweet, I am a HUGE fan of tekken music, and as others said, T3 has the best soundtrack, a phenomenal one in fact, one that I have listened to for over 10 years, and still nothing comes close to it.

Oh, and a little tip for anyone who wants all of the tekken music, for free. No, not piracy, it's hard enough finding the ost for 3, tag and 4 via torrent.

I use dazzle DVD recorder, use the music player in any recent tekken (3 onwards), record however long the song lasts to my hard drive, then convert the .vob file to 320kpbs mp3, or flac if that is your thing. You do need a converter that It has no loss in quality and actually the quality rises if you convert the file.

I got every piece of music this way, from nearly all of my games, including the tekken ones.. All you have to pay is the cost of a dazzle dvd recorder, and the cables needed, youtube will show you what you need. a normal dazzle one will do, no need for the HD recorder.

@Mushman

you can also do it with Tekken 1 and 2 Via Tekken 3's swap disc bit in the music theater. You just need the actual Tekken 1/Tekken 2 disc obviously so you can swap them out to listen/record to.

@Usedtab
get ready to spend some dough as T1-T3 OST/arranged tracks are hella hard to find and hella high when found.
