If you have Tekken 6 and have played through the Scenario Campaign, you would have played it alongside an AI companion. Boring! That will change with an update coming later this month. When updated, you'll be able to recruit a friend online and play through the entire campaign mode together. There will be voice chat capability and leaderboards added to go along with the update.
Along with this, a smaller item is also being fixed: In online versus mode, Mokujin’s fighting style changes with every round. In other words, his AI has been fixed.
The update for Tekken 6 will be available on January 18th for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
come the fuck on Namco.
+1 more for FIX LAG PLZ.
Yeah, co-op isn't going to make the Scenario Mode any more tolerable. It might be a little easier, but the story is still a bunch of anime-derived baloney. I liked it better when the story was just the Mishimas throwing each other off of cliffs/blowing each other up.
Why can't I break throws consistently online then but at my local arcade I can do it with my eyes closed?
Lag needs work
Fact is, there will always be a measure of lag in online matches regardless of the coding involved.
T6's online is pretty damn good now, but it still can't compete with offline matches. No fighters online ever will until fiber optic internet connections become ubiquitous. Throw-breaks are a problem in EVERY online fighting game and, frankly, no amount of time and work is going to fix that at this point in the technological timeline.
That's right, people! If you haven't played T6 since launch because of the original lag, you've missed the online update and a GREATLY improved online component.
plus compared to how online was before the online patch, it's doing a lot better. Still lag on 3 connections or lower, but at least it's playable for casual play.
but outside of online, OFFLINE still needs a patch. Especially when small shit that was in T5:DR on PS3 aren't even here in T6.
Yeah, you know I never thought about that. I think the only game I can consistently break throws in online is BlazBlue, which is strange considering the obscene amount of lag in about 65% of the matches I play in that game. And in the remaining 35%, its just a slightly tolerable amount of lag.
After discovering the arcade with T6: Bloodline Rebellion near me, I really just use T6: XBL to practice. It obviously can't compare with the arcade version.
If you want to play the best fighting game out right now, give UFC Undisputed another shot.
Hahahahaha. Good one =]
From the few matches that I've played online, I haven't noticed an obscene amount of lag or anything. I'm not taking it super serious, so it's not a huge concern for me anyway.
You should've played the original Tekken 6, before they balanced it. The console Tekken 6 is based on the Bloodline Rebellion revision.
In the original, Bob was an unstoppable freak of nature.
