Tekken 6 update adds online co-op for Scenario Campaign photo

If you have Tekken 6 and have played through the Scenario Campaign, you would have played it alongside an AI companion. Boring! That will change with an update coming later this month. When updated, you'll be able to recruit a friend online and play through the entire campaign mode together. There will be voice chat capability and leaderboards added to go along with the update.

Along with this, a smaller item is also being fixed: In online versus mode, Mokujin’s fighting style changes with every round. In other words, his AI has been fixed.

The update for Tekken 6 will be available on January 18th for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

To all you guys complaining about the lag: they fixed it already.

Yeah, co-op isn't going to make the Scenario Mode any more tolerable. It might be a little easier, but the story is still a bunch of anime-derived baloney. I liked it better when the story was just the Mishimas throwing each other off of cliffs/blowing each other up.

Yep, lag was fixed months ago. You people need to keep up... a good start would be to actually start the game first. Also, I agree with Gibbs. The story-lines were nothing but short and pointless forced humor. My favorite is still 5, the game is polished in every way, the adventure mode wasn't exactly mandatory, and even the intro alone makes it the best Tekken game in the series. Also, Jinpachi.

@anyone who said lag is fixed:
Why can't I break throws consistently online then but at my local arcade I can do it with my eyes closed?

Lag needs work

@bgaregga,

Fact is, there will always be a measure of lag in online matches regardless of the coding involved.

T6's online is pretty damn good now, but it still can't compete with offline matches. No fighters online ever will until fiber optic internet connections become ubiquitous. Throw-breaks are a problem in EVERY online fighting game and, frankly, no amount of time and work is going to fix that at this point in the technological timeline.

That's right, people! If you haven't played T6 since launch because of the original lag, you've missed the online update and a GREATLY improved online component.

I don't think anyone expected T6 to not have lag. Kinda hard to get BB fluentness with T6 seeing 2d fighters don't work the same as 3d.

plus compared to how online was before the online patch, it's doing a lot better. Still lag on 3 connections or lower, but at least it's playable for casual play.

but outside of online, OFFLINE still needs a patch. Especially when small shit that was in T5:DR on PS3 aren't even here in T6.

yo how bout the option for the 2nd player to have their own customized character? did namco forget people like having real friends over to play video games??

@DinnertimeNinja

Yeah, you know I never thought about that. I think the only game I can consistently break throws in online is BlazBlue, which is strange considering the obscene amount of lag in about 65% of the matches I play in that game. And in the remaining 35%, its just a slightly tolerable amount of lag.

After discovering the arcade with T6: Bloodline Rebellion near me, I really just use T6: XBL to practice. It obviously can't compare with the arcade version.

Each vs. match takes over a minute to load, and I'm not talking about online. How ridiculous is that?! One of the basics in a fighting game is quick vs mode, how do you mess that up?!

If you want to play the best fighting game out right now, give UFC Undisputed another shot.

Huh. Alright, kinda cool. I just picked up the game this week, so I wouldn't mind a little online co-op to help me get through the campaign. It's pretty tedious, so it would be nice to run through with a buddy. Usedtabe, where are ya, man?

From the few matches that I've played online, I haven't noticed an obscene amount of lag or anything. I'm not taking it super serious, so it's not a huge concern for me anyway.

I just picked this up recently. Haven't gotten a chance to check the online mode yet, but damn Bob is an awesome fighter! I got this with the HORI Tekken 6 arcade stick and hardcover artbook from Amazon for $77.00, pretty sweet deal considering it makes a huge difference when playing with the stick. I'm not sure if they still have the deal going on, but check it out, (if you don't already own this).

Almost forgot ... the arcade stick is bluetooth, so it works on my mac with the MAME emulator ... Simpsons arcade and Alien vs. Predator Arcade like they were meant to be played!

@LemonSaint

You should've played the original Tekken 6, before they balanced it. The console Tekken 6 is based on the Bloodline Rebellion revision.

In the original, Bob was an unstoppable freak of nature.
