If you live (or lived) in Quebec I'd actually be able to confirm that "walk uphill in the snow to get to arcades" part. Went there on a class trip when I was 13 (yeah an international trip for a middle school class, and we lived no where near the boarder -it was a blast) and it was winter.. and Quebec is built on the biggest most convoluted hills I've ever seen, lol. BUT there was an arcade super close to the Hotel (a fancy fancy place with no arcade IN it) and the teachers really didn't care if we went off and got lost in the city as long as we were back by a certain time. Me and my friends spend the whole time in the arcade or eating at the McDonald's next door to it, lol. Whole trip was fun though.
Any way, this game should be fun if you can get others to play with you. The addition of a movie is nice too, but makes me wonder how much space they really had left over, and how much space other games usually have left over -specially seeing as how Capcom wants us to pay $10 more for Resident Evil because it comes on a bigger card.
The man in a suit who helped out the orphanage!
Not the new fangled Tap Out wearing King!
I'm guessing it's just a port of Tekken 6?
Who would buy that when you can get it for PS3/360 for like $10 now?
Anyone who wants it portable?
It's not like you can carry an Xbox 360 and 3D TV plus an industrial power supply with you to McDonalds.
Also, the film is terrible.
That said, I'm still keen to grab this day 1. 60fps Tekken on my handheld? Yes please.
True, but what I'm really saying is, "Who wants to buy another copy of a game that you were already done playing a year ago?"
And fighting games are about competition. Good luck finding another person with a 3DS who also likes Tekken and for some reason also doesn't want to just play the game they already own at home with much better graphics/controls/online.
The only people I can see wanting this are Tekken fans who never owned a 360 or PS3. A demographic which probably doesn't exist.
Well, Super Street Fighter 4 3D has sold a million copies so far, and that was a launch game. It also has pretty decent online play as far as I know.
Tekken is releasing into a larger installed base, and it also has online.
Who knows. I think you may be underselling it's potential a bit too much.
So far all I see that's new is the stages and the younger Heihachi (I hear that part of the reason did that change with the character was because the voice actor died or something).
not really, after some odd scenes and such it was a "great" movie and definitely on the right track(along with Advent Children Complete) in terms of Video Game Movie adaptation.
