Why would anyone buy this when it comes out? It's sure to be in the bargin bin and at least 20 dollars cheaper within a month of release.
IF Gears 3 gets announced REAL soon, why would anyone still care for this game? This doesn't even look like it will be a decent filler until Gears 3. Hell, it doesn't even look all that appeasing for PS3 owners who don't even HAVE Gears 3.
Well, after stuff like Dark Void, Damnation etc turning out to be average to bad, when they should have been better, I'm prepared to give QT a chance to shine.
You should judge a game on its own merit or lack there of. Besides, this is a genre that japanese devs need to get to grips with fast, and with Vanquish on the way later this year, KT deserve a break.
Lastly, I'd rather support this game, than that awfully empty DOA Paradise game. And if its anything a little like Gears, that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Absorbing influences from elsewhere is a good thing for the industry overall.

Gratuitous violence WOOT! I'll give this a go as, in terms of art and story, it seems to beat Gears. I enjoyed Gears anyway, so this'll likely be entertaining as well. That said, I couldn't have done more than the campaigns on Gears, it was just horrible near the end. Too much mindless swearing and blood, not enough story development and characterization for me.

absolutely, and that's why ordinarily i'd think they had a chance of making a half interesting game. i enjoyed GOW for about 30 seconds, then it became a bland cycle of cover-shoot-cover-shoot with generic musclebound morons spouting awful dialogue.
