Tecmo is working on a game called Quantum that I got to peek at during E3. The game is looking like it could potentially be quite good, but there's no denying the fact that it looks almost exactly like Gears of War, from the gameplay to the character designs. Tecmo is at least self-aware enough to realize that Quantum will be compared to the game it shamelessly pilfers from.
"We are aware that people will draw comparisons [with Gears of War]," says Ben Laurence, PR manager of Tecmo Koei Europe, "but Quantum will be a fantastic game in its own right."
I'm not one who really cares that a game is totally original and unique, so long as it's good, and if Quantum is a fun shooter, than it's not going to matter much. That said, Quantum really has been remorseless in its Gears pillaging. Saying it will draw comparisons is like saying the next Dead or Alive will have a few breasts in it.

Yeah some fanboys will do that but honestly I have this game being pegged as a sleeper hit. It will come out of nowhere for alot of people, and probably steal alot of limelight. Count this as having sales figures in the 3-5 million range.

Wow, 3-5 Million? You show a lot of confidence in a game that you've never played before. To be honest, I don't think this will sell half the amount that you're talking about. Not even Killzone 2 sold that many, and that's an established franchise on the PS3. No offense, but that's a way bold prediction for a game nobody has played.
Looks like a good game; wish I had a PS3 to play it. I don't think it's going to sell that much, though. God of War 3 might, but not this game. This is the first I'd even heard of it.
