With a name like Star Wars: Force Unleashed, this is one game that you'd expect to make the Force look at least a little bit awesome. Having just watched this video, which discusses the three different physics engines that LucasArts is bringing to the table, I have no doubt in my mind that this game is going to indeed, unleash some awesome Force.
While not a huge Star Wars fan, I want this game pretty bad. The sight of stormtroopers flying around in the air, holding onto each other for dear life, is worth the price of entry alone, and the whole thing just looks gorgeous. If only George Lucas didn't have his grubby hand in it, I'd be pretty excited for the great story idea too. Oh well.
Star Wars: Force Unleashed should be hitting shelves this Summer and should provide excellent coverage for the mid-year drought, provided LucasArts makes a game that plays as great as it looks.

I actually hated Knights of the Old Republic, which is weird, because I LOVED Mass Effect.
I just enjoy the games that add an additional piece of the story to the films, like Shadows of the Empire did. That's the only reason why this is the biggest Star Wars game ever.
This is not officially my most anticipated game being released in the next century. Looking at that video, I could not think of a single way it could be more awesome. None. I really hope it doesn't get a rushed release, a game this special needs time to gestate for the real nutrient goodness to come through.
Also, I enjoyed KOTOR, but not as much as mass effect or baldur's gate, in spite of being a (lapsed) huge star wars fan.
If this game plays half as good as it looks, it will be well worth a purchase in my book. I haven't bought a Star Wars piece of merchandise in years, but this looks very promising.
Oh, and in the mean time, those of you have Jedi Academy for PC should check out the Open Jedi Project... that with proper force key binding is a nice way to kill an afternoon.
I'ma be all up in this business. As a Star Wars fan, I would be anyway, but the game looks great on its own. Though I agree with Trev, they may have gone a touch overboard on the ragdolling. It looks a little silly at times.
I'm actually more excited about other developers taking these technologies and running with them. This sort of stuff is awesome for the future of gaming.
I'm a passive fan of the franchise and this video made my pants tight. There's something amazing about being able to be an asshole with magic powers and a laser sword and punt people through plate glass windows or hammer them with lightning while they react oh so realistically.
Looks pretty damn good. Only thing i'm worried about is overkill with ragdoll and their grab everything while im spinning around at 5g. Hopefully the story is solid cause it looks like some sick gameplay.
It does look great but I mean the whole ragdoll thing where it grabs on to everything like its hands are made of glue? I don't know. If Eupohoria is supposed to be so robust why doesn't the stormtrooper that gets his arm grabbed on to by currently force held one try to hack that guys arm off to save himself? It currently looks like the helpless stormtrooper has some magical touch thing going on when it grabs on to a different guy, making his whole body go limp or something.

Hooray for spring release?
Agreed.
I want this game bad. I hope they don't fuck it up.
It will be the best Star Wars game since Shadows of the Empire, since both of them added a HUGE part to the official Star Wars mythos.
I really want to tear it up on Cloud City.
@Snaileb well if you want to go that route you have to mention Kotor since they are also Canon.

Secondly, I'm not a HUGE fan of Star Wars..... BUT
This game looks to make me rethink that!
Seriously looking smokin' HOT!
You hated KOTOR.....why?
Anyway, this game looks pretty stunning. I hope that they don't screw this up.

also snaileb, i dislike kotar 1&2 over rated games IMHO.
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was just fing epic.

Jedi Knight Academy was alot of fun though.
Finally Lucasarts is realizing that everyone hated the new trilogy setting!
I for one am fucking stoked to not have to fight fucking "droid-armies" anymore.

C-, see me after class for more remedial tutoring.
Still a bit rough around the edges (framerate), but damn if my interest is not piqued.
I still maintain that "The Force Unleashed" is a dumb name, though.
Sith does-not-equal Empire
