Shadowmere+Daedric armor=badassery that cannot be contained.
I had so much fun with the C:LoS.
Agreed. Lords of Shadow was cool, but I'm always up for a handheld, co op Castlevania.
Hopefully this game will
build upon the first and take out some of the 'padding' that plagued the first.
please...please let it be true...do not fail me now kojima...
I rented LoS and decided I'd buy it and still haven't got to it.
I'll have to try soon what I played was excellent.
All kidding aside, i want that 3ds castlevania info more as well. All 6 gba/ds castlevania games were amazing
LoS was an OK GoW clone, but it was not a Castlevania game and most people admit that.
I've been following closely all tweets from members of Mercury Steam and they've been teasing a big reveal for more than a month now.
Please give me three...the first one is so underrated it makes me sick, anyway I tell people like: "hey it has one of the best endings of this consoles generation!" and they say: "seriously?!"....months later: "Dude you where totally right, how come more people don't know about this game?".
Don't get me wrong, I love Koji Igarashi's CVs but we cannot expect to play and enjoy 2D CV games forever. Lords of Shadow showed me that an spectacular 3D CV is indeed possible, just matter of time before they hit the sweet spot.
All in all...give me LoS sequel and and a new 2D game (will get a 3DS just for it, and if Alucard is in it then give me two haha)!
I'm sure we can spread the love, some might hate LoS just because it has "Castlevania" on it, but please can't we just enjoy both and be happy?
I enjoyed Lords of Shadow a lot, but it didn't feel like Castlevania. There was far too much medieval influence and not enough Gothic atmosphere. The music was epic but was made for this medieval setting, (not to mention it shared chord structure with Batman Begins). And despite David Cox's most fervent denials, the game really did play like God of War with Prince of Persia platforming and a few Shadow of Colossus battles. The styles didn't mesh as well as they should have nor as often as they should have. Here's to a more Castlevania-like Castlevania!!!
That bullshit was just slapped on to further trick people into thinking the game was meant to be a Castlevania game from the start.
I however know better because I still remember when Mercury Steam was showing the game off as just Lords of Shadow BEFORE Konami stepped in and picked it up. Going off of their previous track record with mediocre to down right shit games, Konami knew it wouldn't sell. So they had them slap the Castlevania name on it, shoe horn a few references to Castlevania in, and then threw Kojima's name into the mix (he didn't have shit to do with the game). They knew it'd sell based on that alone. It's as much of a Castlevania game as Silent Hill 4: The Room is a Silent Hill, which is to say it only is by name alone.
