Team Ninja says that the Wii U is very easy to develop for. In an interview with Nintendo Gamer magazine, Fumihiko Yasuda and Yosuke Hayashi said, "We're finding it very similar to develop for Wii U as for Xbox 360 and PS3."
That's good, right?
The duo also says that the Wii U hardware is always changing, reminding us a bit of what Capcom's Yoshinori Ono said about the system last week.
"They've asked us what we would want from the hardware, and when we give them feedback we can see that they're definitely listening to it and making changes," said Hayashi. "The hardware is still constantly changing."
What I'd like to know is what Nintendo is changing. Is it the form factor? Hardware specs? I doubt these devs will crack on any of the details, though.
Wii U hardware 'changing constantly', claims Team Ninja [CVG]

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Do not want to be playing 5 year old hardware on a next Gen console.
Really, I'm not sure what to make of this. It's supposedly shipping this year. I'd think they would be past crowd sourcing from devs at this point, but I guess it's worth the head scratching if they get it right.
Not calling "doom" on it, but that doesn't mean I feel very good about it, either.
Any way, Its good on them that they've made a platform that can easily be coded to and from. Honestly, I know its sort of a pipe dream, I've been saying for years that its kind of retarded, aside from the hardware differences, to have such drastically different platforms to jump from. Exclusives will always be there, but the 3rd parties suffering in the mean time -while business as usual- seems to only be setting the industry back in a way.
Only bad I can see from the way this sounds is that if this is as easy to code for as the 360 and PS3, that the devs will turn around and say "Well, its no better then those, so in the 'next generation' it won't be as appealing"
Damn gamers are worse every day. STFU.
Or how about this: Wireless Classic Controller Pro.
You're absolutely right. How dare we expect a gaming device released in 2012 be more capable than a four-year-old PC. HOW DARE WE.
Get banned again, please. Thanks.
I'd rather hear of constant change in this situation than have it later turn out to have a months old fault, design flaw, or missing potential features that were never implemented.
The fact that it's changing shows that there may be a ways to go, but their openess and flexebility also shows that they are working hard to finish a great product.
As for the old hardware thing, consoles will ALWAYS be old hardware when compared to a PC. I still prefer consoles, though, since when I buy a game on a console I actually feel like I OWN the game (God forbid), but hardware-wise, PCs will always reign supreme. I'm hoping the Wii U will compete as well, but I'm also being realistic.
Unless they are really changing around the system, they should technically be able to do multi-tablet play. The screens are rumored to be 854x480 (same as the Wii's resolution when in widescreen mode), and if they had four tablets alone playing at once it would need to be able to process 1,639,680 pixels per frame; and the system has already shown itself capable of using a 1080P TV + 1 tablet at once, which comes to a total of 2,483,520 pixels per frame. In fact, four tablets plus a 720P TV only comes up to a total of 2,376,960 pixels per frame. What is more of a problem is sending all that data wirelessly at once smoothly, you'll need a large data bandwith. However, since the Wii U has USB ports, if it doesn't come with the capability to send out that much data they could probably sell USB antennas or something. (I do realize that I am greatly oversimplifying what the Wii U would need to support 4-tablet play).
The other question is whether or not they'd want to do it in the first place. For multi-tablet play, that would require people to buy the expensive controllers separately. However, it is possible that friends may bring over their Wii U controllers to other places, and for those situations at least that cost barrier is gone.
I personally think that they will support at least 2 tablet play, but not at launch.
I mean nintendo's IP's are fantastic, but it's hard for me to justify plunking down on a system ONLY for a fantastic nostalgia trip. I grew up with gaming, i hope the big N can too.
ohh is that soo?
what about the Wii U having 1 controller only???
will it allow multiple classic controllers??
Yet you missed the one that deserves a sequel at this point more than any other.
