Today is Free Comic Book Day! It is what it sounds like: go to a participating comic book store, inevitably StreetPass some fellow 3DS users, and walk out with a free comic book. Maybe even expand your horizons and make some new friends? Or not. Baby steps.

To celebrate, a new Team Fortress 2 comic is out, reminding us that every day is Free Comic Book Day for Saxton Hale. The "Catch-Up Comic" tells the back story behind the mercenaries' never ending battle for supremacy over a desolate desert wasteland. Some players go years without knowing why they are fighting, or that there even is a narrative behind it at all.

Even if you miss out on your free physical comic today, you can always download the Team Fortress 2 comic. It is just sitting there on the Internet, waiting to beam to your screen.
